Winter maintenance update

This year’s winter maintenance weekend was a huge success thanks to the fantastic number of people who helped out. About 30 plot holders and community gardeners joined in to cut back brambles, tidy up path edges, strim grass and clear the bays.

We burned the green waste with bonfires and enjoyed a well-earned hot drink and biscuits together at the end. An extra huge thanks to Sue who baked delicious cup-cakes to share.

Our allotment is a wonderful community run space. That means that keeping it tidy and the facilities running smoothly is a shared effort. Whether it’s volunteering on the committee, helping run our shop or joining in community gardening and other activities through the year. Everyone’s contributions big and small makes a huge difference.

Through 2024 there will be more opportunities to volunteer and help make the allotment a place everyone can enjoy. These will be posted on the website events calendar and there'll be an update at the AGM.
